A brief biography

I started playing drums when I was five years old, and since then I have studied drumkit with Simon Dring, Dave Wickins, Jason Bowld, Craig Blundell and Ralph Salmins, and percussion with Ian Chopping, Sam Girling and Donal O'Brien.

I'm also a pianist, and I had lessons with Rory Marsden for over ten years - I passed Grade Eight Piano with Distinction in March 2008 and I have also studied jazz piano with Peter Hayes.

Since leaving school, I have been working as a musician full time, both teaching and performing. I have played many different styles of music, with function bands, rock covers groups, various original projects, brass bands, jazz groups and many different orchestras. As a teacher, I have taught drumkit and piano privately and in local schools.
